Many programs at Palm Beach Community College are operated in part with dollars from the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 1998. Funds from this federal, competitively awarded grant help the College develop more fully the academic, career, and technical skills of postsecondary students who elect to enroll in career and technical education programs. The College specifically uses the Perkins Grant funds to serve the community and its business partners by training qualified employees in high-demand and high-skill occupations. A complimentary, and equally as important, goal for the project is to enhance the success of the students we serve.
