Student Policies and Procedures in PBCC Test Centers
|
- Acceptable Identification Types:
- Current Driver's License with Photo.
- Current Federal, State,County, or Municipality issued ID with Photo including Military ID.
- Current Employer ID with Photo.
- Current Alien Registration Card (Green Card) with Photo.
- Current Passport with recent Photo.
- Current Palm Beach County Dual Enrolled and High School Juniors testing under SB 1908, can use High School ID.
- Current PBCC Panther card ID.

- Placement Testing and College Policies regarding testing for prospective and current students:
- Paid Test receipt and Current Photo ID is to be presented at the time of testing.
- There is a thirty day wait period for retesting on the Accuplacer (CPT), TABE, COMPASS-ESL, and NFSI examinations. Exception: TABE may be taken before 30 days if approved by the Vocational Preparatory Lab Learning Specialist.
- Current students enrolled and attending a preparatory class cannot retest for the CPT until the end of the current semester.
- Only examiness are permitted in the test area. The Test Center reserves the right to refuse test administration to an individual if unsupervised children are present.
- Examinees are not permitted to start the test unless there is sufficient time, as indicated by the Professor.

- Test Fee Waivers:
- Provided for students who missed a test due to jury duty, military duty, death of an immediate family member, college sponsored activity, religious reasons. Documentation is required.
- Test fee waivers are offered to PBCC Distance Learning students, unless the test is a make-up, and for students approved for accommodation.
- Calculators, Books, Notes, etc:
- Only materials/tools specified by the Professor can be in the testing room. There are no exceptions.
- Test Center personnel cannot transfer classroom materials, homework assignments, projects, etc., from the students to professor and vice versa.
- Cellular Phones, Electronic Equipment, Personal Belongings, etc:
- Any such items are required to be in a secure/locked locker outside the testing room. Test Center personnel are not responisible for lost, stolen, or broken items checked.
- Cheating and Testing:
- Test Center personnel closely monitor testing rooms. Cheating may incude making an effort to remove test materials, notes, scratch paper from the testing room, not following test procedures, failing to stop work when time is called, disturbing or attempting to get answers from another examinee, using unauthorized aids during testing, accessing unauthorized internet links, and disregarding proctor instructions.
- An examinee found cheating may be referred for possible disciplinary action to the Dean of Student Services.
- Cheating on a course exam will result in immediate notification to the Professor for possible disciplinary action.
