On-Campus Recruiting: Employers shall request to visit any location of PBCC for the purpose of on-campus employment recruiting by contacting the appropriate Career Center. An On-campus Recruitment form must be completed along with a signed statement by a representative of the organization testifying to its commitment to equal opportunity employment. The permitted frequency of campus visits may differ by location based upon enrollment figures and/or other factors. The College reserves the right to refuse an on-campus recruiting request. In conjunction with the College’s policy on “Solicitation On Campus By Outside Groups”, employers or company representatives who require the potential recruit to pay money to the company (to include the purchase of equipment or supplies, making an “investment” in the company, etc.) as a condition of employment and do not guarantee any form of wages are not allowed to participate in on-campus recruiting at any PBCC location:
Recruiting Guidelines
Participation in campus job fairs and on-campus recruiting is not permitted for employers that require some form of "investment' on the part of the candidate as a condition for employment and/or do not guarantee any form of wages (i.e.commission only, multi-level marketing, etc.). However, if an organization agrees to waive the fee, approval to recruit on-campus or participate in job fairs may be granted. This approval will be determined at the campus level based upon the organization's recruitment needs and their relevance to the vocational programs offered at that location. If an employer waives the fees and then does not honor this agreement, all campus recruiting and job fair privileges will be rescinded indefinitely at all locations of the College.
