The MTIS provides access to all types of audiovisual (AV) and media equipment such as video projectors, VCRs, TVs, overhead projectors, slide projectors, audio tape recorders, DVD players, sound system, microfiche, laser disc players, screens, and video camcorders.
Each classroom is equipped with VCR, screen, and overhead projector. Most of our classrooms are currently equipped with video projectors and their needed multimedia tools. Additional equipment may be requested using this request form Media Equipment Request. The faculty member must sign the designated agreement form before receiving the equipment. The circulated equipment must be returned to MTIS as soon as the class is over or 15 minutes before MTIS closes. Circulated equipment may not stay in the classroom beyond the time limit stated in this policy.
Advanced requests for AV equipment are required at least 24 hours for Belle Glade or 7 days for any other satellite facilities. Requests for AV equipment can be completed by phone, by e-mail, or by completing the designated form found in the Media Center. The faculty member or staff member must be present at the time of pick-up, in order to ensure that the contract is signed. If permitted to check equipment out to satellite facilities, the faculty or staff member must renew the contract according to the instructions from the Media Services Department.
Removing any media equipment out of a classroom is not permitted for any reason. If any of the media equipment does not function properly, the matter should be referred immediately to the attention of the MTIS staff.
