AA Degree Transfer Possibilities - State University System

The Associate in Arts degree offers many opportunities to transfer to both public and private colleges and universities to complete your Bachelor’s degree and pursue a higher education. PBCC also has a growing number of transfer agreements that allow you to complete your Bachelor’s degree completely on-line.

Upon the award of an Associate in Arts degree from Palm Beach Community College, a student is guaranteed admission to one of the 11 state university system institutions. Community college Associate in Arts graduates receive priority for admission to a state university over out-of-state students. To facilitate your acceptance in your desired program of study at a state university system institution, it is vital that you carefully plan your coursework while at PBCC. Your 60 hours of credits for the AA degree includes 36 hours of general education and 24 credits of common prerequisite courses that prepare you for transfer. Please consult with a PBCC advisor or use the FACTS system http://www.facts.org to help plan your program of study at PBCC.  This will ensure your smooth transfer to a state university system school. In addition to statewide articulation of the AA, PBCC also has transfer agreements for several programs of study.
