The SEEK (Seeking Excellence in Education and Knowledge) Scholarship is available to early childhood practitioners working directly with children in family child care homes, child care centers, or schools in Palm Beach County that hold a rate agreement with Family Central, Inc. (excluding informal providers). The primary purpose of this program is to improve the quality of early childhood education environments through staff development.
On January 1, 2007, we announced an alliance between SEEK Scholarship and the Palm Beach County Early Childhood Registry. Linking the two systems allowed us to better serve your needs and improve our services. As we move forward please note the following changes:
Effective March 1, 2009:
-
You must be a current member of the Palm Beach County Early Childhood Registry (Registry) to be considered for SEEK Scholarship. For more information about being a member please click on the following link: www.pbcregistry.org
-
You must use the new one-page SEEK Scholarship Application for all scholarship requests. Only complete applications will be accepted.
-
You must verify completion of any SEEK funded training event or courses by submitting certificates and/or transcripts to the Registry.
Keeping your Registry membership up to date is easy. Fax, mail, or drop off any certificates, transcripts, etc., upon completion of courses or training events. You can also use the Registry Update Form for other changes such as employment, email, phone numbers, etc.
