The Institute of Excellence in Early Care and Education was created as part of the school readiness legislative initiatives to provide local school readiness coalitions with guidance and technical assistance to address specific concerns related to the preparation of young children to enter school ready to learn.

The Institute of Excellence in Early Care and Education works closely with many agencies and organizations in order to promote education and training opportunities for teachers of young children and to advance high quality early education programs for young children.
