Employment Opportunities |
Upon completion of this program you could seek employment in hotels, restaurants, food service businesses, resorts, cruise ships, casinos, and other related hospitality environments. Employment opportunities are better if you work in the industry while attending school. With experience in a large hotel one could be hired as a department manager such as Front Desk, Reservations, Room Supervisor, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Human Resources, etc. In smaller chain hotels you may be hired as a Manager Trainee which might require relocation. Restaurants often hire graduates as Assistant Manager or in a Management Training program.

You must have a friendly out going personality with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to make fast decisions and attend to many details quickly. You need to be able to supervise staff, solve problems and work under pressure. Must deal with customer complaints and maintain service and staff enthusiasm.
