Special Skills or Qualifications Needed Must enjoy working with people, be flexible and detail oriented, and able to enforce the local fire codes. Some Fire Inspectors provide fire prevention training for the community.
Career Path Notes This program is a prerequisite to becoming a certified Fire Inspector. All fire/rescue departments utilize Fire Inspectors. Many educational and commercial institutions utilize the services of fire inspectors.
