Admission Criteria

Since nursing is a limited access program, potential students must submit information and documents directly to:

Palm Beach Community College

Application Deadlines:
  • FALL Term: June 1 (Lake Worth, Full Time Program only) 
  • SPRING Term: October 1 (Lake Worth Full-Time & Weekend/Evening Programs; Belle Glade Full-Time Program) 
Meeting the criteria for selection does not guarantee admission to the Nursing Program. Final selection will be made using a point system which credits:

 
  1. Previous college education
  2. Nursing Program general education requirements completed
  3. Cumulative grade point average of 2.5, effective June 1, 2006
  4. NLN pre-admission score of 50 or above
  5. Health related work experience
  6. Florida residency at the time of application
( For details about the point system see the PBCC Nursing application form.) These criteria supercede any previous information.
