Technologists in Medical Imaging combine the technology of medical imaging with their skills in patient care to create high-quality, diagnostic images.  Physicians use these images in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease or injury.  This is a profession that requires a dependable personality with a mature and caring nature.  This occupation involves tasks of patient care and communication with patients and their families, as well as with other members of the health care team.  These advanced modalities may require "on-call" availability of the technologist as well.
