Brick and Block Masonry Apprentice (PSAV 5254)

Lays building materials, such as brick, structural tile, and concrete cinder, glass, gypsum, and terra cotta block (except stone) to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, sewers, and other structures.

Picture of masonry workerThis PSAV programs is a combination of on-the-job training and related classroom instruction offered by PBCC for a private sector sponsor that is registered with the apprenticeship registration agency (Florida Department of Education).

Palm Beach Community College awards students who complete their apprenticeship a Post Secondary Adult Vocational Training Certificate. In addition, Palm Beach Community College has developed an articulation process for journey workers to receive 24 credits toward the Industrial (Operations) Management AAS degree.

Prospective students apply directly to the apprenticeship sponsor.
