

This program prepares the student for entry-level employment in a variety of occupations in the welding industry. The content includes, but is not limited to, communication skills, human relations, employability skills, safe and efficient work practices, reading blueprints, identifying metals and basic shop skills.
Palm Beach Community College is an American Welding Society S.E.N.S.E. participating organization and certified to deliver Levels I, II, and III of the national skill standards for the training and qualification of welding personnel. PBCC is accredited by the Inter-Industry Conference of Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR).
Palm Beach Community College awards students who complete the Welding Technology program a Post Secondary Adult Vocational Training Certificate. In addition, PBCC has developed an articulation process for program completers to receive 24 credits toward the Industrial (Operations) Management AAS degree.
