Angela Morgolis
Angela holds a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Smith College and a Masters in Theater from Northwestern University. She acted and taught drama in New York City for many years; is a writer with published works of poetry. She studied Eastern religions and became a meditation and poetry teacher.
As a long time teacher at the Center for Lifetime Learning, she taught a whole variety of courses, including reading plays and poetry aloud, meditation, and philosophy for everyday life. She says, "I am sure that the spiritual is embedded in all of us and in all parts of us-in the wild and absurd parts, and in the silence and the dance. That is why the writing of Rumi speaks to me, through the centuries, in the universal language of the mystic. We NEED this man's words. Every time I read his poetry (especially translated by Coleman Barks) I feel my whole inner self come alive and I can dance on my twisted toes!"
