
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO ENROLLMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL (F-1) APPLICANTS TO THE BACHELOR OF APPLIED SCIENCE (BAS) PROGRAM
Prospective international students should start the admissions process at the earliest possible date prior to the beginning of any college semester. A three month lead-time is recommended to ensure enrollment as requested. Applications from international students will be accepted for the Fall and Spring 16 week terms (August and January) and the Summer 12-week term (May). Please note that any document written in a foreign language must include a certified English translation (an attestation singed by the translator indicating that he/she is fluent in both English and the original language of the document and competent to render a true and accurate translation).
International applicants to the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) program are advised to follow the Step-by-Step Guide below to ensure their enrollment in classes in a timely manner:
STEP ONE- APPLY TO PBCC

First-time International Applicants/Transfer Students: Please print and complete a Palm Beach Community College Application to Credit Programs. Please remember to select the BAS program objective code. Applications can be mailed to the Office of International Admissions and Recruitment, Palm Beach Community College, 4200 South Congress Avenue, Lake Worth, Florida 33461 or faxed to (561) 868-3623.

Current/Returning Students: Print and return a Program Objective Change form to the Admissions/Registration office on any campus.
STEP TWO- CONTACT THE BAS OFFICE
International applicants will need to contact the Bachelor Studies office directly to submit the required documents for their admission to the Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree program.
STEP THREE- CONTACT THE OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL ADMISSIONS
Once accepted into the BAS program, applicants will need to provide the following documents to the Office of International Admissions by the deadline for the intended semester of enrollment:

Official proof of acceptance to the BAS program

A completed I-20 Request Form

Proof of the applicant's financial ability to pay for his/her living and educational expenses while attending Palm Beach Community College. The applicant needs to provide a letter from his/her or sponsor's financial institution showing a minimum balance of $24,000.00 (US). Applicants with financial sponsors also need to submit a notarized Affidavit of Financial Support signed by the sponsor. Copy of passport (visa and bio pages) and I-94 (front and back).

(For transfer students only) International Student Transfer form and copy of previous Certificate of Eligibility (I-20).

Following completion of all admissions requirements a Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20) will be issued to each admitted student.
STEP FOUR- REGISTER IN CLASSES

Before students can enroll in classes they need to provide proof of health and accident insurance to the Office of International Admissions.

You can check the status of your international application anytime using your student ID and PIN number through PantherWeb, the online student information system.
