We are Moving

The end of PBCC's fiscal year marks the beginning of an unusually busy season for the Finance Department. As if closing the books, compiling the State reports, and hosting our annual visit from the auditors isn't enough, many of our Finance Department associates are moving!

The entire first floor of Finance will be moving to temporary offices. With the exception of Margaret Jones, who is moving in with Payroll temporarily, everyone else is moving near the cafeteria: Cafeteria Rooms E and F (CF124 and CF125). This will clear the way for a major renovation of the first floor space. Anyone who has had occasion to visit the Cashiers Office knows that this extreme makeover is long overdue and very welcome.

The move began last week and will continue through the weekend of July 9^th. Our phone numbers and mail stations will remain the same. The major change will be the relocation of the Cashier's Office. The entrance will be on the walkway East of the Cafeteria and past the rest rooms. Please keep this new location in mind as you encounter any lost students eager to make payments.

The Fiscal Year End has Come and Gone

The fiscal year end has come and gone. Finance is well on its way to closing out the books and is busy working on the annual financial report.

The beginning of the New Year, be it January 1^st, the new school year, or the new fiscal year, gives cause for reflection on the year past and a look forward to the new year.

PBCC encompasses so many departments, with each department processing many transactions. We at Finance understand that the planned moratorium of these processes, for even a short while, may cause some strain in your departments. We would like to thank everyone for your patience and understanding during this hectic time of year. As we begin the year, please take some time to consider how to make the period leading to year end easier next time.

For your consideration, we offer words of wisdom from an early Roman philosopher, Debitus Maximus, "termino nunc", encumber early.
