PBCC provides pre-paid subscriptions for students enrolled in any fully online courses to Online Tutoring Services by SMARTHINKING. Smarthinking provides tutoring in the following subject areas:
- English/Writing -- all subject areas (for native speakers and ESL students)
- Business Studies -- Accounting, Finance and Economics
- Science - Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Human Anatomy & Physiology
- Mathematics - basic Math skills, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus and Statistics
- Spanish
The online tutoring service is available 24/7.
SMARTHINKING also provides informative student and faculty Webinars available periodically throughout each academic year. The Webinars showcase services and site tools available for students and faculty. Notifications of such Webinars are announced via the PBCC email system to all faculty instructing one or more online courses in that particular semester.
It is required to provide a link to SMARTHINKING in all fully online Bb course sites. Along with the link, please provide the ‘Student Handbook' for student reference and guide to the online tutoring service (Acrobat file available below).
