Introduction to Bioinformatics (BSC2432)

Bioinformatics is the application of information technology to the field of molecular biology.  In this course, the student will gain an opportunity to analyze primary data using bioinformatics tools and learn what they mean in a biological context.  The student will also learn what databases are used when with DNA, RNA, or protein such as PubMed, Blast, and GenBank, depending on your resarch needs.  This will allow you to further analyze the results obtained in the laboratory.
