TASHE Scholarship Policies and Procedures
Transitioning and Supporting Hispanic Educators
TASHE scholarship recipients are awarded up to $2,500 to be used towards the tuition of EPI courses and textbooks, FTCE preparation workshops, Substitute Teacher Academy courses, and reimbursements of other certification costs.
The TASHE office maintains a student scholarship account for each recipient deducting each payment accordingly. It is important for scholarship recipients to communicate with the TASHE office on a regular basis to ensure accurate accounting of scholarship funds. When a student registers for classes or modifies his/her schedule, the TASHE office will not pay fees without student notification of registration or modifications. It is the students' responsibility to contact our office to verify tuition was covered through the scholarship.
It is each students' responsibility as a TASHE scholarship recipient to communicate with the TASHE office when they have questions, concerns, or issues regarding program advisement, registration, workshops, scholarship policies, etc.
If we are unavailable at the time you contact us, someone will be in touch with you within 1 business day. TASHE students are encouraged to utilize both the program coordinator's contact information as well as the administrative assistant's contact information to ensure a timely response.

Registration for EPI courses & workshops
•· Students must register through the Panthernet system https://www.pbcc.edu/x5687.xml each semester for EPI courses, FTCE test prep workshops, and Substitute Teacher Academy courses. Notification of open registration dates for each semester will be sent to each students' PBCC email account prior to the start of each registration period.
•· Students must notify the TASHE Administrative Assistant, via email or telephone at 868-3806 for tuition payment processing at least 2 days BEFORE THE PAYMENT DUE DATE. Tuition and fees will be deducted from the students' available TASHE scholarship funds once the student has notified the TASHE office.
•· If any changes need to be made to the students' schedule after submission for payment to the TASHE office and BEFORE the add/drop deadline date, the student must contact the TASHE Administrative Assistant immediately. It is important for the TASHE office to verify coverage of tuition after any modifications have been made.
•· Confirmation of tuition payment for courses will be sent to each student via their PBCC email account ONLY.
•· Students may be dropped from courses for any outstanding balance. Each student is responsible for checking the student PantherWeb homepage to ensure there is a $0.00 balance on the student account once confirmation is received from the TASHE office that tuition has been paid through the TASHE scholarship. If there is a balance outstanding, contact the TASHE office immediately to correct any errors.
Textbooks for EPI courses
Recipients of the TASHE scholarship follow different procedures than students participating in the Teacher Certification Program in regards to textbook distribution.
•· Once the TASHE student has registered for classes, he/she is required to bring a printed copy of the student schedule to the TASHE office to pick up textbooks for the semester.
•· The TASHE scholarship will cover the cost of a new textbook for each student; the textbook price (publisher price) will be deducted from the students' available scholarship funds at the time of pick-up. The student will be asked to initial a textbook receipt page for verification.
•· Textbook vouchers will no longer be issued - textbooks for TASHE students will ONLY be distributed through the TASHE office.

Student ID Card
All students are encouraged to obtain a PantherCard, PBCC's photo identification card, by visiting their campus bookstore. PantherCard is required to use tutoring labs, check out library books, use the campus wireless network and utilize other campus services. Certain programs may require students to wear (display) their PantherCard when in class or attending training provided by PBCC at an off-site location. In order to obtain a PantherCard present your current term schedule along with a valid photo ID to your campus bookstore. Your PantherCard is valid as long as you maintain current enrollment.
Vehicle Registration and Parking Decal
Students driving a motor vehicle on campus must obtain a parking decal. The parking decal fee is included in the access fee. The fee allows for the issuance of one decal to each student upon request. Your request for a decal can be made at the Lake Worth and Palm Beach Gardens Security Offices. At Boca Raton and Belle Glade, requests for decals can be made at the Cashier's Offices. Annual decals expire at the end of each summer term. Replacement decals and additional decals can be purchased for a fee of $5.00 per decal.
You MUST have a valid PantherCard in order to be issued a parking decal.
