March 14 - DH vs. Brevard Game 1 The second meeting of the season was much like the first meeting between these teams. Both teams only managed 3 hits apiece in a game of flawless defensive and excellent pitching. Brevard managed to score the game's only run in the 3rd inning after a leadoff walk, sacrifice bunt, and RBI hit. Brittany Sansovini garnered the loss giving up 1 run, 3 hits, 1 BB, and 3 K's. Final Score 0-1
Game 2 In the second game of the double header the Titans again scored first, leading 1-0 through 3 innings. In the 4th, the Panthers found their bats and scored 4 runs. Alyson Moron led off the inning and advanced to 3rd on an error. Lauren Titshaw then delivered the game tying hit with a single up the middle. Justine Neering followed with a walk and another single by pinch hitter Katie Smith. Sophomore Kayla Dorsey then drove a long fly ball to center for a sacrifice fly scoring the go ahead run. With the score 2-1 and 2 outs on the score board, Chessie Boggess hit a sharp line drive up the middle scoring both Neering and Smith with runs 3 and 4. Brevard came up short in the 5th scoring 2 runs to make the score 4-3 and that is how the game would end. Liz Elliott got the win giving up 5 hits and 3 runs. The Panthers are now 7-12 overall and 2-6 in the Southern Conference. Final Score 4-3
March 11 - DH @ Indian River Game 1 Both teams started the game by scoring 1 run a piece in the first frame. Melinda Villegas knocked in the first run with an RBI double down the 3rd base line. IRSC would score and unearned run in the 2nd and again in the 4th before scoring their final run in the 6th. Down 4-1 in the 7th, Justine Neering took the first pitch over the left center wall for the Panthers. That would be all for the Panthers ending a close game. Final Score 4-2
Game 2 The Panther defense struggled in game 2 giving up 4 unearned runs through the first 4 innings. PBCC fought on offensive with 6 hits however unable to push a run across the plate. Liz Elliott threw 6 innings giving up 6 hits, 5 runs (4 unearned) and striking out 2.
March 7 - Southern Conference Tournament Brevard It was a battle of the pitchers in the first game of the SoCon Tournament in Stuart. Starting pitcher Brittany Sansovini had a no hitter going through 5 innings allowing only 4 base runners on 2 BB's and 2 Panther miscues. PBCC also had little going with the bats collecting 4 hits through 4. In the bottom of the 6th the Titans got their first hit of the game on a 1 out single. This was followed by a BB putting runners on 1st and 2nd with one out. Brevard's cleanup hitter hit a sharp base hit to CF but the throw was not in time and the Titans would score the only run of the game. Sansovini got the loss giving up only 1 run, 2 hits and striking out 6. Final Score 0-1
Miami Dade Miami Dade struck first in the top of the 1st with 2 runs. In the bottom half of the 2nd the Panthers tied the score at 2 following 3 consecutive hits. Jessica Oliver and Alyson Moron both got hits to put 2 runners on and 0 outs. Sophomore Justine Neering then hit a single to right field scoring both Moron and Oliver. That was the extent of the offense for the Panthers as Miami Dade's bats were on fire putting up 11 runs in the final 3 innings. Final Score 2-13
Indian River On the second day of the tournament PBCC faced the #2 team in the state in Indian River State College. The game was close through 4 innings when IRSC scored 4 in the 5th to push the score to 7-0. The Panthers rallied for two of their own in the bottom half of the 6th on a 2 RBI double by pinch hitter Lauren Titshaw but it wasn't enough as The River tacked on 3 more for a final score of 2-10. Final Score 2-10
Broward In the final game of the tournament the Panthers found themselves facing a tough Broward squad. Broward scored first in the top of the 3rd on several Panther miscues. Facing a one run deficit PBCC started their offensive in the bottom half of the 4th scoring a run on a single, a BB, and an RBI single by 3B Lisette Lantigua. The game was still knotted at 1 in the bottom of the 7th when Kayla Dorsey led off with a double to LF. This was followed by an intentional walk to Melinda Villegas which brought up cleanup hitter, sophomore, Jess Oliver. Oliver fell behind in the count 0-2 battling off numerous foul balls before roping a double of her own to right center scoring Dorsey with the winning run. Liz Elliott received the win, throwing a complete game, giving up 3 hits and 1 unearned run. Freshman OF Brittany Jones extended her hitting streak to 7 games, and has now reached base in 13 of the Panthers 15 games. Final Score 2-1
March 3 - Muskegon Game 1 PBCC scored 4 runs in the bottom half of the 1st inning on 2 BB's 2 hits and 2 errors. We added one more run in the bottom of the second on 1hit, 1 SB and 1 error. Brittany Sansovini dominated in the circle striking out 17 batters, walking none, giving up 3 hits, 2 of which were in the 6th that led to Muskegon's only run of the game. Final Score 5-1
Game 2 Muskegon went on the board early scoring 3 runs in the 2nd and 3 more in the 4th to take a 6-0 lead. In the bottom half of the 4th, PBCC crossed the plate 4 times on 1 walk and 3 consecutive singles. Muskegon bounced back with 2 more runs in the 5th to take the lead by 4. Not to be outdone, the Panthers tied the game in the 5th one 1 error, 3 singles and a 2 RBI double by Justine Neering. Pitcher Liz Elliott re-entered the game in the 6th and struck out the side. With the momentum on their side and the game tied at 8, PBCC led off the 6th with a double by Jessica Oliver followed by a single by Katie Smith. Melinda Villegas then took a 0-1 pitch over the left field fence to make the score 11-8. 2 more runs scored in that same inning to put the Panthers up for good 13-8. Liz Elliott got the win pitching 6 innings giving up 6 runs, 5 hits, and striking out 10. Final Score 13-8

The PBCC softball team lost 4 of 5 games in the recently concluded Manatee tournament held Feb 14 and 15. The lady panthers lost to Polk (4-0 and 3-0), Manatee (3-2), Hillsborough (6-3) and finally got their first win of the young season with a victory (5-4) over Aiken (SC). The weekends top performers were Jessica Oliver who went 6-16 with 1 double, 1 home run, 4 RBI's and 2 stolen bases. Also Brittany Jones went 5-16, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI and 1 SB.
