Joseph Borucki

Chief Joseph Eagle Borucki

My interest in art started when I was four years old. I was so small, I could fit under our kitchen stove. In the winter it was nice and warm for me and my dog Bingo, I loved him. I was so happy drawing Walt Disney characters... So the journey begins.

In grade school my favorite subject was -you guessed it - art. I took off like a rocket. In high school I excelled in art and I was called upon to do everything from small art projects to large murals. Just before graduation I was called on to design the class ring. After graduation I started painting art work on custom cars, trucks and motorcycles. I won several awards, but I needed something more, something personal. Mobiles always interested me and we were living in the 1960s, a time for being free and expressing yourself. Well, what could be more free than a mobile dancing in the wind? And so my love affair for mobiles began. I have been actively designing, fabricating, and exhibiting sculpture of all kinds since then, but my favorite things are mobiles. Yes sir, me and Bingo, we got it made! So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Love ya, peace and out.
