TASHE - Mentor Component

Mentoring Great Beginnings - ideas & actions helping all to soar!

Soaring birdBienvenidos! Welcome!

You wanted to make a difference where experiences are memorable, fulfilling, and relevant so you chose to become an educator. Great choice!

That choice will of course bring up significant questions, ones that most likely need the help of professionals experienced in this field. The expectation is that these professionals will be those who model and instruct with passion...to amplify the desire to reflect and grow...to support great beginnings.

It is my deepest desire that you have a great beginning in your pursuit to become an educator. Those professionals offering their expertise through mentoring / coaching understand that it is a continuous process of learning. They also made a commitment to inspire you so that intellectual engagement is not left to chance.

On this site, we plan to have a ‘live' interactive message/ chat room center for discussions with other TASHE participants and mentors. There is also a resource center or ‘In the Moment' page. This will offer possible strategies to use for dynamics that might be happening in the classroom or with colleagues. It is intended as a ‘quick solution' for the ‘moment' until you can obtain your mentor's help.

Links to relevant sites that support new teachers will be included and of course the Mentor Specialist in room CE125 is available.
