 Institutions can incorporate many integrated waste management techniques into their daily operating practices in an effort to help the environment and improve their bottom line. Recycling and waste reduction can involve a wide array of materials, ranging from common recyclables like cans, glass, cardboard and office paper, to food and landscape trimmings, electronics, construction debris, mechanical parts, and laboratory chemicals. Keep in mind that if waste can be avoided in the first place, there would be no need to manage it.
