The Center for Lifetime Learning has an excellent tradition in providing opportunities for volunteer service. Our faculty and members greatly appreciate the efforts of our volunteers. They pay half of the annual fee, or $100. This can be paid in two $50 increments by the deadline for the fall and spring terms.
How to Become a Volunteer
You must apply to become a Volunteer Member of CLL by filling out the Application Form Follow the instructions to submit your application. You will be notified shortly if your application was accepted.
Volunteer Duties
Volunteers are required to be available for 20 hours a month of volunteer duty to include office and clerical work; proofreading and word processing, making phone calls, and helping other CLL members find their class rooms and schedules. They also distribute newsletters, Manage Carpool list, Manage cancellations in popular classes (so others can take an empty seat).
We have a Volunteer Coordinator who manages volunteer's schedules and to coordinate the Speakers Bureau program, invites volunteer's to training and orientation meetings, and helps volunteers to be an extension of the CLL office in many ways.
This year there will be no collection of money, class monitoring or checking of ID badges in the classroom. Classes will be pre-registered and a class roster will be printed and distributed to each instructor. If you have any questions, please call 561-868-3556.
