Biotechnology is an applied biological science that uses living organisms to make products, perform valuable processes, solve problems or otherwise benefit humans and/or surroundings. PBCC offers two degree programs in biotechnology. Students may choose to enroll in the Associate in Arts (AA) degree program who are planning to transfer to a four-year university. The Associate in Science (AS) degree prepares students for entry into employment in the biotechnology industry, research institutions and related industries. PBCC also offers non-credit Advanced Techniques in Biotechnology Courses and over 25 different internship opportunities to get hands-on skills and experience.
