Eligibility Criteria

  • Mastery of the English Language
    (COMPASS and/or CPT exam may be required to prove English proficiency before being accepted into the program)
  • Valid Official Statement of Status Eligibility or valid Temporary Certificate issued by Florida Department of Education (FLDOE)
  • Eligibility to teach in a high need subject area as defined by the School District of Palm Beach County and the US Department of Education:Elementary Education K-6 (in conjunction with ESE or ESOL), English, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) in conjunction with a core content area, Mathematics, Science, ESOL in conjunction with a core content area, Mathematics, Science, ESOL in conjunction with a core content area, Reading, Foreign Languages, Social Sciences, or Arts
  • Foreign transcripts translated and evaluated (course by course with GPA) by an NACES approved commercial evaluation company http://www.naces.org/members.htm
  • Earned a 2.5 GPA at the bachelor's degree level (official transcripts requiered)
  • Meet in-state Florida residency requirements
