Business Administration Program

Palm Beach Community College offers several programs in Business Administration.

  • Business Specialist College Credit Certificate, 12 credits
  • Business Operations College Credit Certificate, 18 credits
  • Business Administration/Management College Credit Certificate, 24 credits
  • Marketing College Credit Certificate
    24 credits
  • Business Administration/Management AAS Degree, 64 credits

Business Specialist College Credit Certificate (6480) This program is designed to prepare the student for mid-management positions in a variety of business environments or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in management occupations. The program is 12 credit hours which transfer directly into the Business Operations and the Business Administration and Management College Credit Certificates and the Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration and Management.

Business Operations College Credit Certificate (6481) This program is designed to prepare the student for mid-management positions in a variety of business environments or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in management occupations. The program is 18 credit hours which transfer directly into the Business Administration & Management College Credit Certificate and the Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration and Management.

Business Administration and Management College Credit Certificate (6111) This college credit certificate program is designed to prepare students for the operation of a small business or to become small business owners or entrepreneurs. Students will become proficient in the planning, organizing, directing and controlling of a business including organizational and human aspects. Emphasis is given to the ownership of small business enterprises. The program is 24 credit hours which transfer directly into the Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration and Management.

Marketing College Credit Certificate (6113) This college credit certificate is designed to prepare the student for entry level employment in the marketing field. This credit program will prepare the student for employment as an advertising and display specialist or marketing, advertising, and public relations specialist. Course content includes marketing, human relations, advertising, personal selling and small business management. The program is 24 credit hours which transfer directly into the Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration and Management.

Business Administration and Management AAS Degree (A087) The degree is designed for the student who seeks a broad background in business, is interested in starting a small business, or wants to advance in a current position. Program content includes bookkeeping, management, supervision, human relations, marketing and business communications. The program is 64 credit hours.

Pre-Major Business Administration (1000 - Business) The Associate in Arts pre-major enables students to earn an A.A. degree that could qualify them to transfer to a Florida public university program in business admininstration.
