Automotive Service Technology

Serious is what I’m about. I’m eighteen and now engaged, so I know what I’m planning on doing with my life. I look forward to becoming a technician and making good money and I’m also looking forward to marriage and that requires money most of the time.

I work at Global Auto Service where the boss knows I am a hard and smart worker, not sloppy. I have worked on many cars, but would like to specialize in BMW

I am planning on working a few years as a technician until I save enough to be able to let my father and mother retire and be able to them as they supported me.

Since the age of seven, I always helped my dad fix his semi.

As I grew I got more into motors and transmissions, everything on the truck. I always liked working on the truck, and always wanted  to know how everything worked and have a better understanding.

I’m here because I want to know how to understand and fix cars. I see myself going on to a dealership. I will get there by doing my best. I am very determined and really don’t want to be a failure in life.

I started my first job when I was 13 working for a construction company. Since then I’ve been a cook. I’ve washed dishes, worked fryers, grills, broilers, convection ovens, written schedules, interviewed, hired and fired employees, done inventory, ordering and training. I like to feel like I earn my money so I don’t mind working hard.

I have always had an interest in cars, trucks and motorcycles. I know the money is in new technology, but I would rather work on classic cars and trucks. I hope to get into a dealership like Mercedes or BMW and to be able to rebuild and restore cars on the weekend.

Evan

I graduated from Lake Worth High School in May. I’ve worked a number of jobs ranging anywhere from bag boy at Publix to a line cook, to my current job at Home Depot..

I hope to better my skills  and my knowledge of cars from bumper to bumper. I want to be able to fix almost everything. I know I can’t know everything, but I want to try. I’m going to give it all I’ve got.

I hope to be able to work for a dealership. I want to make good money and I am going to work very hard to get there.

I’m in this program to become a master tech. I am a driver by trade but no longer wish to drive trucks. I only have limited experience with cars, but it’s my only true interest.

I’m taking this class seriously because it will be my livelihood. I’m a parent of two kids and their future depends on me. My brother is taking the same course as me and we plan on going into business together.

The main reason I signed up for this program is (and I’m not going to lie) that I want to go fast. But I know that is not possible without the basic knowledge of how a car works.

I plan to also take the auto body repair program and someday own my own customization shop. I have loved cars all my life and wish to be 100% dedicated to this program.

I love tuning cars and going fast but I know I can’t run before I learn to walk. So I’m here to start supporting myself on my feet and get closer to my goal.

Chris

I have worked here and there with my father in his backyard garage working on many different cars. We have done many things including painting, transmissions and body work. My brother, father and I have a very good relationship and we all would like to have a shop someday.

I am taking this class to help me learn about vehicles in and out, and to pave the way for making some real money, and eventually owning a tuning shop. I want to learn as much as possible while I am here and get my first job as a tech at a dealership.

"I am very serious about learning as much as possible and doing all that I can to achieve my goal."

I registered for the Automotive Service Technician program in order to become a certified technician to pursue a career in the automotive industry.

When I graduated from high school I tried to take regular college courses such as Math and English. After a while I realized that I did not want to go to school to the same thing I did in high school.

I do not believe there is any reason why I cannot pass this class and become a great service technician, work for a great company and possibly someday own my own business. I believe that if I work hard all the things I’ve said can come true.
