NEW STUDENTS
Medical Information Coder/Biller (CCC) - Program Requirements

To begin general education courses:

To begin core (HIM specific) courses: (Part-time)

  • Core courses begin Spring 2010 - Part-time evening. (application due November 15, 2009 - Available now!!

  • Then again in Fall 2010 - Part-time days.

Please review our MICB course listing and complete a limited access application before beginning core Health Information Management (HIM) courses.

Complete the Limited Access Application (Spring 2010 will be a Part-time night program) (Core courses do not begin in the Summer Term the next group will begin in Fall 2010).


Once you are accepted into the program:

  • Current Physical Examination - forms will be provided in your acceptance letter.
  • Background check - forms will be provided in your acceptance letter.
  • Negative Drug Screen - forms will be provided in your acceptance letter.
  • Basic Life Support / CPR certificate - can be completed through out continuing education department, course number EMO0123
  • Domestic Violence certificate - can be completed through out continuing education department, course number HUS0240
  • Bloodborne pathogens / HIV/AIDS certificate -can be completed through out continuing education department, course number HOO0104

You must attend our program orientation and bring the above listed documentation with you.



CURRENT Applied Technology Diploma STUDENTS

Our program is transitioning from an Applied Technology Diploma (ATD) to a College Credit Certificate (CCC).

IMPORTANT!!!!!
If a student does not complete the current ATD program by the end of the 2010 Spring semester they may be required to repeat content in college credit courses in order to obtain the Medical Information Coder/Biller College Credit Certificate.
