CSL Philosophy and Mission
The Center for Student Leadership (CSL) program is coordinated by the Office of Student Activities. CSL focuses on developing a broad range of transferable skills to prepare Palm Beach Community College students for leadership positions within the college as well as the global market place.

Leadership Philosophy:
We believe that great leaders can be cultivated through a process of diverse and personal learning experiences. Through these experiences, we hope students come to understand the various traits and characteristics of a leader. First and foremost we believe a leader is one who leads by example by displaying empathy, tolerance and respect. A leader is one who values diversity and perseveres in the face of adversity. A leader is one who is committed to personal and professional growth for both self and others.

We believe that great leaders have a vision for achievement and for the future. A true leader then, possesses the ability to communicate and share this vision by encouraging others to lead and giving them the freedom to engage.

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Center for Student Leadership at Palm Beach Community College is to provide students with the opportunity to engage in a variety of leadership activities and developmental experiences that will assist students in developing the skills, knowledge and values necessary to become effective leaders.
