
This program prepares the student for entry-level employment in a variety of occupations in the welding industry. The content includes, but is not limited to, communication skills, human relations, employability skills, safe and efficient work practices, reading blueprints, identifying metals and basic shop skills.
Palm Beach State College is an American Welding Society S.E.N.S.E. participating organization and certified to deliver Levels I, II, and III of the national skill standards for the training and qualification of welding personnel. Palm Beach State is accredited by the Inter-Industry Conference of Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR).
Palm Beach State College awards students who complete the Welding Technology program a Post Secondary Adult Vocational Training Certificate. In addition, Palm Beach State has developed an articulation process for program completers to receive 24 credits toward the Industrial (Operations) Management AAS degree.
This program is located at Palm Beach State at Lake Worth.
